From the Beckhams to Priyanka Chopra, Meghan and Harry's royal wedding was a couture feast!

In a fairytale wedding that captured millions of hearts across the globe, American actor Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, on May 19, took their royal woes.  Meghan, as we know it, has now become the new patron of British fashion.  She chose to defy expectations by wearing a wedding gown for her royal wedding designed by Claire Waight Keller.  Not long before, she catapulted to fame in a Ralph & Russo gown for her official engagement photos.

And now, for those mapping her latest style choices have seen her favour significant brands such as Burberry and Jigsaw. Without further ado, here’s an inside track on designer bling, footwear, fragrances and couture brands worn by the crème de la crème 600 guests to the royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel.

Meghan and Harry: An Imperial Fashion

The newlywed Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in a grand spectacle at Windsor Castle. Prince Harry donned the frockcoat uniform of the Blues and Royals regiment of the British Army with permission from the Queen. He also sported the pilots’ wings badge that he earned whence he flew helicopters in the army.

Keller, 47, the first female British artistic director at the Givenchy couture house, strategically created for Meghan -- no-fuss heavy silk, pure white long-sleeved gown with a five-meter long veil that flowed into a full train. While the bateau neckline gracefully framed her face, Meghan’s look was completed with a diamond tiara from Queen Elizabeth, a Cartier bracelet and earrings, and a pair of silk duchess satin shoes.

Meghan’s silk tulle veil was a real work of art with trimmed hand-embroidered flowers in silk threads, a tribute to the 53 countries of the UK Commonwealth, with each of the flowers representing the distinctive flora of each Commonwealth country.  Her personal favourites from the design of the veil were the wintersweet (it grows in front of Nottingham Cottage, where the royal couple lives), and California poppy, the state flower of California, Meghan’s birthplace.
