Diosa: Artisanal Craftsmanship

A Variety Of Modern And Designer Earrings By Diosa In Different Styles And Colors With Shiny Gems

Diosa Jewellery’s founder, Darshan Dave speaks to Luxurypage about his love for making jewellery

Tell us about your journey. How did you get started?

Inspired by my love for artisanal creations, I entered into the fascinating world of jewellery making at an early age of sixteen. With a knack for creativity and a passion for making unique contemporary designs for women, I am now 25-years-old in the industry.
A woman is the ultimate soul of any jewellery. My creations reflect my vision to see every woman across different walks of life wearing a Diosa. It is that inspiration, eye for detail and a pioneering vision for innovation that made me move away from traditional gold and diamonds to design mesmerising creations using Silver and Swarovski Zirconia.

How would you define your design style? What makes your collection unique?

Diosa signifies Goddess in Latin. The jewels that we design are inspired from “the essence of divinity that every woman possesses” and celebrate this expression through our medium of art. Every piece from Diosa is created by craftsmen who have passionately dedicated many years to this fine art of jewellery making.

What kind of women is your jewellery meant for?

A woman who adorns our jewels is smart, intelligent, fiercely independent and understands luxury. We offer premium Luxe Destination Jewellery for the red carpet, destination weddings and special events; Diosa is worn by celebrities, socialites and elite women of the society.

Two style icons you look up to?

Coco Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld

A favourite piece that you recently created?

The very first Rose Quartz Earrings designed for actress, singer and songwriter Manasi Scott. She was amazed at the beauty of her new jewellery!

What’s the future of jewellery design?

Workplace jewellery and the ever-popular coloured stones will continue to
top the charts.

Salvatore Ferragamo

Any advice for up-and-coming jewellery designers?

Be original in your approach!

What kind of jewellery do you recommend for a beach, a holiday and a cocktail event?

On a beach, stick to light corals and pearls in soft tones; for a holiday, wear risk and stress free travel jewellery, and for a cocktail, tennis and cuff bracelets would be a great combination.

A quote that you live by?

It would have to be this one from Swami Vivekanand: “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”
